>blastercontrol and detonator

Some time ago I removed the blastercontrolutilities that came with my creative video card. Not only in startup but from the HD also.<br>
When I turn on the computer on , oftentimes windows starts in 16 color 640x480, then hangs, hard reset, and then its normal again.<br>

Does windows have a problem recognizing the hardware without the card's utilities installed, the creative manual says it could be, (which I doubted)<br>

Does windows have a problem recognizing the driver (detonator 5.22)<br>
5.22 is official, no?<br>

Could you give a little comment on the setting minvideotexsize?<br>
