Default Installing new catalyst - 06-20-2012, 18:05 | posts: 4

I have a problem installing new ati drivers for HD6850, it's 12.4 catalyst version.
After installation it still always shows older version, 11.9 in this case (catalyst control center -> information -> software, or in everest program). I first uninstall all amd software, reboot, use driver sweeper, reboot, install new catalyst. Do you guys have same problem and does anyone know how to solve this? Only other thing that I can think of is that its by mistake uploaded older version of catalyst on amd official site.

Hey mr atiman why posting your program over and over, it seems is the only thing you can do around this forum.
Let's put a reminder for people who forgotten what this dude did some time ago > http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.ph...postcount=1249 click the spoiler and read.

As for your problem ermin; the catalyst 12.4 have a little bug they don't contain the version string of the driver so you will see the one from the previous driver.
Not a problem your driver has been updated, but if you want to be sure look for Driver Packaging Version in ccc software information it should be: 8.961....

You make one very big mistake and will advise you to only deal with what you know.
I'm not Atiman and not show any mine program.
I am not interested in the expressions that are performing people who think they know me.

For the problem of the ermin question, you're wrong again.
Can not be actually catalyst version there in the installed driver but if you had erased all unused parameters with a good uninstallation program (not with terrible driver sweeper) would not notice that issue.

It also would advise you to carefully read my reports on the problems arising when younger drivers have less parameters than the older ones..

ermin , try the program that you suggest and post us your impressions of the result.

Sorry to dissapoint you mr atiman but I won't waste any of my time responding to your nonsense rambling, I couldn't care less of you and "yours" copy pasted code. Ciao

Glad it was that ermin, all good then.

Your level ?
No, i am not a 0.

I repeat, you are talking to me, not to Atiman.

If you think you can confront him, do it to him.

And now, stop it.

But that is so simple, the asder00 answer is completely wrong and are not difficult to prove.
