Today, NVIDIA officially launched GPU acceleration for PhysX when they released
the PhysX driver version 8.06.12 which enables PhysX acceleration for the following cards :

    GeForce GTX 280
    GeForce GTX 260
    GeForce 9800 GTX+
    GeForce 9800 GTX

You will need to install the latest 177.39 ForceWare driver in addition to the PhysX driver. At this moment,
PhysX support has only been enabled for those four GPUs. NVIDIA will progressively
enable PhysX support in the other GeForce 9 and GeForce 8 graphics over the next few weeks.

    i have an 8800gts 512 (G92) core.
how close is it to 9800gtx?
i mean will this driver work if i add my vcard to the nv_disp.inf

    i guess it does.

    how do you test it?
dont forget this is on an 8800gts 512 (which does have a g92 core) and even in the nv_disp.inf file my card falls under
    "%NVIDIA_G92.DEV_0600.1% = nv_G9x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0600"

    "NVIDIA_G92.DEV_0600.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512""

btw to the original poster thanks for the drivers mang.

    I would suggest by visual comparison {Removed game references as the did not support PhysX as I first thought}

I'm at work for another 3 hours so can't test.

EDIT: apparently there are physx demos accessable via the physx control panel, this is from another forum

    call of duty 4
    crysis
    counter strike source
    enemy territory quake wars
    battlefield 2
    battlefield 2142
    quake3
    quake4
    r6 vegas 1

i do have the grid demo version 1.1

Here's the modded inf for the XP 32-bit international version (above) incase anyone wants to try for themselves, should work with all cards.

    Modded_inf_Geforce_177.39_XP_32bit_international_8kb

Edit: I see the above driver links are no longer functioning, you can get 177.39 Xp 32-bit international with modded inf included from the link below, should work with all cards.

    Geforce_177.39_XP_32_bit_International_modded_inf_61mb

You can get the Physx driver here:

No it's the inf for the 177.39 version.

@Goofy: It doesn't recognise any physx processor and the demo's work the same as before, I havent tested it with any games though.

EDIT: Damn it, 1.30pm on friday afternoon, do I bolt from work and play with this or not???

    LOL

Yeah it was a typo in the title ;)

Well I can run the demos, I'm pretty sure I could before too but it just doesn't recognise any physx hardware on the main physx page.

I'm pretty sure it's not working for my cards as the nvidia physx hardware detection section is all greyed out.
