I am looking to upgrade my computer. See my computers specs on the left. I know Zen is out but instead of spending a small fortune on it I was kicking around the idea on installing a FX-9370. I do not want to mess with water cooling. So the FX-9590 is out. Is the FX enough of an upgrade for me to see a difference in my PC when I play games. The cooling in my PC is more than adequate for the hotter CPU.

Don't waste a penny on a 9590 or anything else on that platform.

Your options are zen or the upcoming coffee lake(should be out soon)

it's about $150 for the cpu. But the newer games call for better gpu. You would have to invest money in a gpu too to keep up with games. And the newest games call for newest cpu"s. So might as well save up for a new rig.
