    Hi folks.
I need to install a new motherboard to get access to more RAM. Do i need to/ is it strongly advised to do a clean install of Win7 too along with it?

Thought it would be ok to ask in here as opposed to starting a new thread.
    Thanks

Unless the mobo is the exact same one as the one you are replacing (for instance if your existing MB has a meltdown) then you could get away with not doing a clean install.
In any other situations (like your one) it is highly recommended to backup your stuff and do a clean Windows install after you fit the new mobo.

*edit* lol sorry bout the necro...didn't read the date

We need to update this guide, but very good none the less. Just be delicate and careful and rig installation should be a snap.
