It doesn't matter if OC it or return it to stock, the clock always freeze at 3005 MHz. This makes SSGSAA unusable. I tried even forcing performance mode in drivers, but nada. Does anyone have any idea why it's doing it?

    That's odd.

What about your core clocks? I wonder if it's a game bug with MW cards.

I'd install and check myself. But my card is bios modded to a static OC

Core clock goes up to 1501 as it should.

This is probably a bug in nvidia drivers, just cause 3 had this problem and a few other games, but most got fixed, I guess it's still bugged for Bulletstorm. You can use Nvidia Inspector to force whatever memory speed you want, but honestly if you think extra 500mhz on mem speed will make unplayable into playable you are very wrong. it's like 1% difference in performance depending on application.

Dude, I'm missing 2 GHz of effective frequency. That is a LOT.

incorrect. you are missing 495Mhz. that 3005 MHz you are seeing is from MSI afterburner which shows single data rate. 970 has mem speed of 7000Mhz in double data rate, or 3500Mhz in single data rate.

I have overclocked memory to 8 GHz. So yeah, missing 2 GHz.

You are right, but like I already said you can fix it with nvinspector. It won't give you a lot of performance 1-2% tops.

yes well, you are showing OC tab, doesn't mean game will be using these settings if it's driver bug. like i already said there was bug where mem wasn't running full speed in certain games. it got fixed it most games but not all games i guess. there was JC3 nvinspector profile fix which forced full mem speed, but it doesn't matter much if you have this problem in just 1 older game, it won't make big difference.

Since memory is 3005, that sounds like power state P02 is getting stuck, while running game see if it stays in proper P00.
I know some edit bios to make memory same 3500 for P00 and P02 states but you shouldn't have to do that.

Bulletstorm profile doesn't contain setting that prevent memory downclock.
Add 0x50166C5E - 0x00000000 setting in Bulletstorm profile, to solve this.

    Default profile:

    Profile with 0x50166C5E - 0x00000000 setting:

I guess there is always BIOS modding the card to static clocks for high performance mode.

    Might do the trick.

It is what I had to do, to solve all my problems with GPU Boost.

But also: When you have "Prefer Maximum Performance" set in the Profile have you reset the driver since you set it? Sometimes it doesn't stick otherwise.

Try downloading Custom Resolution Utility and running the "Restart64.exe" that comes with it. It will reset the driver. (If you have AB running, you'll need to restart it too)

    Doesn't this game uses Physx?
CUDA always runs on P02 state.

Just mod the bios and increase the P02 memory frequency.

Another game that does this same thing is Red Orchestra 2.

...did you get it on Steam? I have an original retail box and have been considering installing it, but don't want to touch GFWL with a stick.
