    Dear All,

I am a bit loss as I'm trying to make Miracast working on my desktop (as laptop are a bit different).
I'm using it with my surface pro and wireless hdmi dongle from microsoft
    I'm under W10 with I5 (3rd gen)
As this stage what I know:

    - CPU from intel (for this case)
    Ok, checked

    - WIFI DIRECT capability of Wifi card
(OK, checked : Intel Centrino 6205 desktop)
    -Windows 8/Windows 8.1/Windows 10 (suspect W7 but can't check)

    - Miracast/WIDI DIRECT capability of GPU.
So from INTEL HD4500 (if remember well)

    Here is the problem.
    I am running a GTX 660 TI
    DXDIAG report :
"MIRACAST not supported by graphic driver"

    My questions to you :

-Will GTX 660 TI has capability to work with MIRACAST?
Saying that just to check if some Fellows have make it work.

-Will GTX 950 ok with MIRACAST?
-Or shall I have to go straight to a GTX 970 as a minimum as I read but unclear from forum to forum only Maxwell of GTX 970 and GTX 980?

I am satisfied for the moment of the 660TI so would like to avoid the change.

Thanks a lot for your help

    Cheers,

    Alspecs

What Nvidia drivers are you using? Nvidia supposedly enabled support for it in the R340 branch

You need Maxwell 2nd gen based VGA.

    Thanks for your answers.

    1/Driver : i'm using 355.82 and still same : not supported

    2/Maxwell 2nd gen :
So confirm only 970 and 980 will support? (GMA204)
Any chance for GTX 950 and GTX960 as I can't find the particular info (GMA206)
As I am not a hard gamer, lower power GPU will be fine

    Thanks to All

Thanks to All for your answers.

So, following your advices, have to change.

Is it possible for 960 and 950' Owners to have a feedback through DXdiag as my Nvidia Dealer doesn"t if compatible or not for both....??

Really appreciate as my actual GPU is still ok so investment got to be certain for this use or I'll be killed !
