I can't understand why my Physics score is lower on W8 compared to W7.
I tried to update chipset drivers, BTW here is new version for W8
http://www.station-drivers.com/telec...ivers.com).exe
And here is results
http://3dmark.com/compare/3dm11/3926393/3dm11/3766319
What's wrong?

It's Bullet, there is no software to install.

Could be a CPU thing, but i don't see how this would change in W8.
The physics score in 3D Mark11 will be also affected by the GPU drivers as it uses OpenCL for parts of it, so maybe try different drivers or maybe W8 has issues with OpenCL.

Maybe something between 3Dmark rigid body simulation (physic test ) and windows 8.

Looking windows8 is not officially out and Futuremark should not have been validated for it right now, having just lower score is not really the worst problem.

Windows 8 Consumer Preview and FM Benchmarks
Preliminary Windows 8 compatibility fix is now available. For benchmarking on Windows 8 Consumer Preview, install SystemInfo 4.8, available here:

http://www.3dmark.com/support/systemi...

This update applies to all currently supported Futuremark benchmarks (3DMark 03, 05, 06, Vantage, 11 and PCMark 05, Vantage and 7)

Note that until Microsoft releases Windows 8 RTM and FM benchmarks are validated against it, use of the products on the Beta operating system is officially unsupported. In other words; "Should work, but if it breaks in new and interesting ways, we cannot promise that we'll fix it until Windows 8 RTM version is available".

Video drivers for Windows 8 are also beta versions at the moment and that should be taken into account when comparing results.

It likely will as they update the benchmarks for hardware with each operating system.

My setup with windows 8 is the same as windows 7-SLI 680- About 17500P-22000G.

I say windows 8 works the same or better then windows 7,just what I have experienced.

For me, windows 7 scores approximately 400-500 points higher than windows 8 during the Physics test. The graphics test scores about 100 points higher as well.

I've the same "problem" (f*cked up physics score), at least with the new 3DMark there is no difference between W7/W8 scores.
