DVD Players with harddrives

    Are they any good? havent really done much research or had the chance to try one out.

    I really hate recording things on the vhs since its ****ty quality, and when stored on a harddrive things are easier to manage, delete and all that.

    Isnt it much better quaility? How much space is needed for how much recording time (i.e. 2gigs for a movie?)

    Hope someone can give a bit of info :)

    Ahh, if you are willing enough, you can get one of the little MicroATX machines, and hook up Linux on it with a TV Card.....

    There are quite a few packages that are really good.

    Such as 'MythTV' and others, just do a search for them.....

    hmm...actually its not for my PC but for the TV. Im just wondering cos recording only on dvds would get expensive quickly (unless theres rewritable ones which the dvd recorder can erase?)
