Why does MSI afterburner sound not show up in Vegas?
Ok, I just recorded about an hour of gameplay footage using MSI afterburner's video recording feature. This feature can also record audio. I've always used Afterburner to do video, and I'd use Audacity for audio, but today I recorded both with MSI afterburner. After recording, there is only one .AVI file, no audio file anywhere. The file plays fine with both audio and video when using windows explorer, and using windows movie maker. However, when I pop it into Sony Vegas Pro 10 it only plays video, no audio. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or what kind of audio afterburner records in, so I could download a plugin for Sony Vegas?

Vegas doesn't support extensible WAV format used to store multichannel audio. There are no plugins for Vegas able to add support for it. Either enable downmix to stereo option or use different video editing tool.

Install avidemux and use it to extract the audio out of the file.
