Alas the child trod on the screen and it's cracked. So (a) where can I get a replacement from? (b) how do I replace it? (c) if it's not wise to do so myself, who would do the job at a reasonable rate? (d) is it worth it or should I just save up for a new one? Thanks.
Quick check I found: Asus EeePad Transformer TF300 Touch Screen Digitizer Glass Replacement $69.99 Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF300 TF300T TF300TG LCD Screen Display Panel Replacement $69.99 ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T Tegra 3 32GB 10.1" IPS Tablet - Blue $349.99 So if you are technically and mechanically inclined then it is worth replacing it yourself. You need to find out what is cracked the Top glass with digitizer or the LCD under it. Thanks v much. I am based in the UK. Not sure about shipping from US? The LCD seems ok - at least the display works but is erratic from the crack. It seems there are four types of screen: TF300-G01 TF300-G02 TF300-G03 TF300-5154 It's unclear which is needed. Do I have to open the tablet to find out do you know? Also what tools would you recommend to do the job? Cheers.
Yes you will need to know what revision your touch screen is. Also for disassemble tools this should do the job. http://www.newupower.com/products/P...-Disassembly-Tool-7-Piece-Set-WP0453_696.html
I'm not familiar with a torn down Tablet but the part number with revision should be on the inside edge (backside) of the Touch Screen Digitizer or its connecting cable. UPDATE: Looks like part# and revision is on the cable http://prntscr.com/13piir
Hi It seems there is a fifth type 5158N FPC-1 But I cannot find it to buy anywhere. Any more advice? Thanks.
