Gurus, Normally we share ideas about tech and have discussions and debates about PCs, games and the lot.. But I need help deciding where to go for a short vacay. I've been to hawaii, mexico, etc in the past.. I want to take my wife and I some place warm, and I'm having a heck of a time trying to pinpoint a nice place to go that isn't going to cost me one of my kidneys. I'm looking for a package deal sort of trip.. airfare and hotel bunched together to try to save on the $. Anyone have any suggestions on good places to look into? We'd be looking to go for only 4-5 nights, so I'd prefer it to not be too long of a flight. We live on the west coast of Canada. Appreciate any suggestions and opinions! If you've had a great experience somewhere, post it!
Well that's the thing, I'd for it to not be overly expensive, and not be too far away.. Was hoping that some of you may have taken trips to some warm places and that I could get some opinions on where would be good But, the wall sounds.. nice? :3eyes:
I don't think you'd find it warm or pleasant to be honest, probably quite an expensive trip at that. If you were in the UK I could recommend a few places, not really sure where a good trip would be for someone from the US with your requirements. I imagine any sort of trip to Europe is going to be costly. Mexico tends to stand out as warm and pretty popular with those I know over there though.
I included the one with the police tape because that's generally what you see around there lol Spoiler
^ Brazil hey? Costa Rica is a possibility.. okay, I will look at these and see what kind of packages are available. Isn't Brazil a bit dangerous? Or is that just the fear-mongering tv programming that is giving me this idea?
Vietnam ? I heard that people in Thailand are very rude and prices have gone up quite a lot in recent years. Vietnam is a good option for that. I have not been in either of those countries but someone told me who recently visited Thailand and who could understand what the locals were talking about. He was there for like a month or so. Flight might take some time though... Texas? Chile ?
Brazil is as dangerous as any country. Depends where you are, this is a huge country in terms of territory and numbers of city. Every country has its own kind of violence, unfortunately. Violence here is a lot related to poverty, so it's easy to find, especially in big cities. Jericoacoara is a coastal city, known for its beauty and peaceful sites. Recently a tourist was killed, but that was a completely isolated case as far as I know. I never visited the city, but will do whenever it's possible. http://vilakalango.com.br/en/ This seems paradise for me. It's a hotel in the city. But Carnival is coming, so the prices may be really high.
Thanks for the link.. I will scope it out Bahama's I've also looked at briefly.. Will take a closer look on that one as well. Thanks for the suggestions all!
Avoid New Zealand unless you want to be ripped off. I vote go to Germany or Great Britain (though i think its quite expensive in GB also). Somewhere in Europe is my vote.
