Hey gurus, First off my apologies if there is another subforum this should go in.. its not exactly "Soundcard" related, so didn't feel that forum fit this question. I just moved to a new house and also bought myself a new receiver to use to setup some external speakers for my TV / Record Player / CD Player.. problem is I can't seem to locate any decent quality yet cheaper hifi furniture. I want something not too large or deep.. just something with 3-4 shelves, preferably with the ability to change their height, that can hold this equipment. I've been looking around for a while but haven't really found anything that a) isn't too bulky or weird looking or b) isn't outrageously expensive. I notice a lot of them are available in the UK.. I'm in Canada. Does anyone have any suggestions for me or places I could look? Maybe some brand names? I've checked on the usuals, Amazon/Ebay etc. Also curious to know what other gurus are rocking!
Ikea. No really. Look at the higher end (for Ikea stuff) that is solid wood. They make stuff that is designed for it and other stuff that isn't, but the backs are so thin you can cut holes for wiring so it can be re-purposed.
No IKEA. Check some some hifi-stores which sell Norstone products. I have Norstone ESSE. http://www.norstone-design.com/en/model/50_Esse.html Price was under 300€. I think something like 250€.
