Engadget reports that the European General Manager for the carrier Telefonica, is claiming that Nokia's upcoming Windows Phone powered devices (namely the Lumia 800) are too expensive for both consumers and carriers. He goes on to say that:

    Thoughts?

Personally, I find this hilarious that carriers would go on record that a certain device is too expensive.

Nokia Lumia 800 tops the sales charts in France

I think Omnia W (priced at 400€) is more what I'm interested, because Nokia doesnt want to sell their phones here... Nokia has also Lumia 720 which is ment to sell in high volumes.

As for being expensive phones, so are iPhone4(S) and Galaxy S2. Comparing Lumia 800 to those, it would surely be Nokia which I would take.

I don't see the issue with that pricing, as it represents mid-range prices over here.

Heck, the iPhone 4S comes out at somewhere between 50% and 150% more expensive (depending on storage amount)!
