I pay for 100, and I get this - and that is a wireless connection, so yeah, I'm happy with that...

I did get 62 mbps download & 10.60 mbps upload with a 3ms ping too when I first joined BT 3 or 4 years ago, but each year the speeds drop. 8 or so engineers & that over the years & its still no better,,,,, .

 

Just moved, went for the fastest I could, and now, I get this abomination.

Going from a symmetric 21st century Fibre connection, to a 1970's ADSL connection really reminds me how lacklustre ADSL really is.

And, the pings are laughable.

Paying for 200/20 up/down, so am getting what is advertised, can't truly whine about that from Virgin, but am in discussion with Hyperoptic to convince them to 'light' the fibre they laid in the street...here's hoping on a return to a 21st century connection before the year is out.

 

these days the 200 tier i got is giving me 70-150mbit, 200 tier has got unstable since first few weeks i had it

ATM my cable is broken again after a caterpillar has cut it into pieces. Speed has been lowered from 3,5M to 1M. Deutsche Telekom is stupi as expected. No change. I'm on a satellite connection and try to post results in the next minutes...

Majority time is 100-130 range, and 2~3 tonights a week I See well bellow 100 talking 50 or lower.

100teir i have was rock solid 100mbit give or take 5mbit even on peek hours, this 200 tier is not even remotely stable, been argue with optimum about this since i got this tier, going on 3+ months now.

I get flash back to when i had verizon dsl that 3mbit and turned in to dial up for 6 months. which I argue with them about for 6 month before it was fixed, and this happen every year that i had there dsl, which why I left them in first place.

$100+ for really crappy 3mbit that turns in to dialup or $100+ for unstable speeds that still better then 3mbit. I rather have optimum out the 2 choices with is my only choices for internet I dont like cable and never have and still dont.

Yes sir except I have 9ms ping,Not that big of a diffrence at all.I know currently you can get Much faster plans but honestly Do I need anything faster, No lol. I would like to try Fiber but its low on my list for time being.

 

My connection is 1000/300 IIRC, paying ~9EUR/month for it.
Internet connection is one of the only things that are actually good in Romania. I have no idea how can a country with such big infrastructure problems (look at our transport) have such an amazing network infrastructure.
