I have no idea why EA would employ this liar to help with development of this game. She has no skill in development or anything. If she get's her own way she will ruin gaming for everyone.

i have better idea, don't buy or preorder because of this if you don't agree.
EA is private company and you as a consumer have a right not to buy certain product.
in this petition i don't see where her involvement is in this, and i can see this as another ****flinging war in which only who can benefit from it is her.

As the youtube video said, this petition is doing exactly what they want.
It's stirring up controversy and pulling even more attention to the game.

Now, I do agree that this is a terrible way to bring attention to the game. And hiring anyone with no actual game development experience, male or female, is an incredibly ignorant move.
And, add on to that, hiring someone who is so incredibly widely disliked and hated in the gamer community by both male and female games was beyond ignorant. It is simply stupid.

I loved the first Mirror's Edge.
But, this move has caused me to decide that Mirror's Edge 2 can simply be ignored.

 

Its a grim age for gaming if extremist "feminists" have power over game developers.

I am glad it has gotten to this point. I think it is hilarious. Liberals eating the fruits of their labor. Can't wait until every game has to pass a though a whole line of experts from the LGBT community, the feminists, Jesse Jackson, Oprah, etc..to make sure have the most bland homogeneous experience possible. that won't offend anyone. I love how gamers got all up in arms over censorship from the right wing (which consisted of a sticker saying don't sell it to minors), only to see it boomerang right back at em with this!

Mirrors edge was a goddamn masterpiece. Maybe 2 wont live to its original success but calling it a bad game before it even comes out is just ignorant.

 

Why does it matter if she is on or not the development of this game?

I also don't understand why so many people are threatening and harassing her, she has a right to her own opinion, it is a freedom of speech, the behavior of some gamers is much like lynching of the KKK back in the day.

Probably because she has no business being attached the development of the game.
She has no experience, credentials... nothing to validate her being involved.


And yes, I will agree the way some people over react to her "opinions" are beyond stupid and childish.
But, she also has no place in the industry. She is convinced she is speaking for female gamers, but the majority of females gamers hate everything she talks about and tries to do.

She has her place on her blog and youtube series, that's fine.
But, bringing her into a game when she has no valid reason to be a part of it... it's an incredibly stupid move.
