Does it still blink after a few reboot?
I do have a blink here on first reboot and I think it come since this latest driver 347.25

You could also try the driver before to rule this out.

 

It has on every login. If you type in youtube: " screen blink after enter password and hit enter " the guy has the same problem as me. :S Any idea gents?

 

My laptop does the same thing while my main machine does not.
I'll try to see what is the difference between the 2.

Edit: So far , it seem the driver is not responsible as I have removed it on my laptop and I still see the blink.

Edit2: my laptop even does this when in safe mode. If I feel like it, I'll maybe format my laptop to be sure what is causing this.

Edit3: Try to create another user account and see if it does it wit it. On mine, I just recreated another users account and it stopped doing it. No idea of why my user account was broke. Tested DDU of course after and still working fine so its not the issue. Could be a broken m$ patch

 

I will try an other account today.
I know when I installed win freshly it was good. Then after the 1st driver removal it has broken. Hm.. could you DDU on you new account see if it is good or not?

I have DDU on the new users account on both my main machine and the new account on my laptop and no problem.

Hey, I used 13.6.2.0 to remove 344.11. Getting high temps and low fan speed 347.25. Zotac GTX 770. I always set fanspeed at 100%, but it doesn't reach the 3100 RPM it used to before; it hovers around 2400 - 2800. Had no problems on 344.11. Is it related to DDU?

 

Not as far as I know. To be sure, just roll back to 344.11 and see if it work. If it does, then its a driver issue.

 

Thanks to you and a clean install of NVIDIA drivers I was able to solve a problem that I posted in the forum.
But now I have a few questions:
- When I ran the program I didn't have the options on the right that appear on internet pics and the drivers selected by default were Intel.
So what I did was select NVIDIA and click unistall and restart, how could I check if Intel drivers weren't removed too?

- Can I delete the NVDIA folder in C:\ created before installing the drivers?

- Do I have to do something to unistall DDU or just deleting the folder is enough?

- It said something about changing Windows Update to don't download drivers. Should I change it back now?

 

The option are on the top left now, its a button on the menu bar.

DDu doesn't need uninstallation. Just remove its folder. There is no regkeys or temps files associated with it.

I recommend that you press the button that restore default windows update behavior before your remove it.

 

Not Correctly Installed GPU

Hi, Wagnard. Need your proficiency here. I just intalled 347.52 a couple of hours ago. Did not like the performance in Dying Light. Reverted to 347.25. Used ddu in safe mode and read this line....

"Not Correctly Installed GPU : @System32\drivers\pci.sys,#896;Video Controller"

Whole system works fine. I can play BF3/BF4 with the same performance as before. DO I need to worried with that Not Correctly Installed GPU? If so, how do I go about this situation?

Not really. If everything is working correctly, then it could be a driver for your Intel integrated gpu or something like that.
This happen when DDU so a gpu driver in the registry without the appropriate class assigned to it.


It is possible you may see that device under device manager as an "Unknown device".

If all is working correctly, no need to worry.

Btw, no yellow bang in the Device Manager.

 

Technically it wont come with a yellow error in device manager.
It could just be listed as an unkown device. Could be not listed too.

Maybe in a future version i'll try to give more error details about this line.

Just before others ask, since recent DDU,
When you click "Yes" for Safemode with Windows 8 and +, select (Troubleshoot-> advanced options -> startup Settings.) from the blue menu.

A message within DDU will be added later on future version to avoid the confusion.
