This game is unplayable for me at the moment. The stuttering is unbearable. Even if I just use one card the usage drops down to literally 0%.

something wrong there. Quick question, do you have the pagefile disabled in windows?

    No stutters here btw.

If it's something that's automatically enabled by windows then no I haven't. Should I?

EDIT: IS this what you're referring to?

Try turning textures down to medium and see if stuttering is there. Looks like your broke that "magic" number. :D

yeah, that's fine, it's on automatic so it's being used. weird, I've only played like an hour of this or so, but I haven't see anything as dramatic as your video shows.

sephking yes its auto set @ 8192mb

I have mine set to min/max 800mb just for bsod view.. And game never whined its running out for ram or cause any stutters, using max ingame settings @ 1080p with 3gb vram (usually game sits ~ 2800-3020mb), so dunno..

Maybe use lower pagefile settings like me so it doesn't over abuse pagefile?

Sorry if this has been answered on a previous page but how do I get Afterburner OSD to work in this game? I've messed around with the settings and nothing I do works. I have the latest version of Afterburner and RSS and latest Nvidia drivers.

Well, great news on the patch and so fast too. If they can fix it, along with the LOD/Distance issue (tbh, not really that bad as it has a minimal effect on detail) then I might even pick this up if i can find for under 40.

Edit: Seems all the steam keys for under $40 are all RU VPN atm.

MSIAB is working by default for me, no idea whats wrong there.

Also in dense foilage areas, fps drops to 40~44. 99%GPU usage, View distance does not effect fps here. The task manager trick gives a stable framerate, so yes I'd classify that as a fix.

I think playing it at night is the best experience. Constantly be on the run, safe house to safe house, ends up with a big exp boost. Needed that grappling hook, got it in 1 night.

    Workaround

To resume i can play at all high, NV all on (only shadows on medium and distance at 50%) 1080p @ 30 steady fps v-sync on (0 shutter or frame drops) with a mere 750 ti! in ALL areas

    my specs are i5 3470 @3.8, 8gb ddr3 @1866, 750 ti @1400/6200 and the game and pagefile installed on a ssd (kingston v300 120gb)

this is what i have done:

1-There is one program called "AutoLargePages" I used in watch dogs last year (with a q9550) that helped a lot in dying light, only open the program and target the exe file to add large pages. This is only necessary to do it once. You can download here http://www.mediafire.com/download/p8...LargePages.zip (credits for the buil of the app go to cyberdine from here)

2- Another program is "cpu control 2.1" that solves the multithread problem (yes it does!). Once you are in the main menu of DL go the desktop run cpu control as admin right click on the DL process, then ALL CPUS--4 CPUS--1+2+3+4 AND THAT ITS ALL when you go back to the game you will see all the cpus being stressed not only the N 1 and this is not the same as the task manager fix (at least is working different i really don't understand how) You can download from the home page of the creator : http://www.topsoftzone.com/program/4788/CPUControl.html

    3- In nvidia control panel:
triple buffer: on (i don't know, but it seems to work, could be a placebo)
texture quaility: performance (i didn't notice ANY difference on textures, but you guys could have a better eye than my :) )
    energy: prefer maximun
    maximun pre-rendered frames: 1
v-sync: on half (this applies to my weak card :) )

4- And also set a fps limit on RivaTunner to 30 (but again, only for my little card)

My friend tested the same config (no 30 fps limit) whit a 770 4gb/i5 2500k@4.5 and is getting solid 60 fps (all high, NV all on, distance in 50%, fov at +10)

And I with my 2gb 750 ti i can put high textures with 0 shutters!!!!

Test and tell me! and sorry for my english!

    But.. why?

    DyingLightGame.exe
    Code:
    FILE CHARACTERISTICS :
File is executable (i.e. no unresolved external references)
    		LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE (can handle >2Gb Addresses)
    FILE HEADER :

    	Machine: 8664h (AMD64 (K8))
    	Number of Sections: 0007h
    	Time Date Stamp:              	54C668AEh  -> 26/01/2015  19:17:50
    	Symbols Pointer: 00000000h
    	Number Of Symbols: 00000000h
    	Size Of Optional Header: 00F0h
    	Flags: 0022h

    It already has this support.

I just got into the closed beta update. And it seems like the CPU usage is way more balanced now.

All cores are on ~30-50% usage. Before it was more or less all over the place.
The update was only 13mb big. Nice to see a small update for once. =)

I used the filmgrain begone from nexus.

wow the game look better clearer and great looking at 4k DSR.

I had to keep AA disabled.

AA was causing major stutter every time I turned.

    Great news :)

Do you still get major fps drops due to view distance or not?
