Hello, i keep getting bsods while watching flash videos like youtube, liveleak etc and some times when i watch windowed videos. Also if i have multiple windows one over another, like task manager opened while i am in game, the image has a short refresh enough for me to see the task manager window, but it doesnt crash, just that its annoying. Hope you guys get what i m saying The bugcode is always 0XA0000001.Programs like bsod viewer say atikmpag its causing it. I tried the following : Ran Furmark stress test, no errors , max temp 60 C Ran Memtest - no errors Uninstall and reinstall multiple drivers old and betas. Disabled hw acceleration in firefox but that makes videos look bad. Updated flash player to its latest. Looking for any kind of suggestions. Thanks The pc specs are in my profile and i am using W7 x64 Ultimate
Can you play games? At first glance I would say your rig is under powered and you require a larger power supply.
Yes, gaming is fine, no bsods. And about power i doubt that since it can perform well under load, but crash on browsing.
Drivers ? i have the same problem with the old/new drivers. try to use 13.10beta1 drivers in my case working good . i am use drivers 13.4, 13.6 , 13.9 , 13.11beta9.2 and have crashes in opera with flash too . sorry my bad english .
Thanks guys, will try 13.10v2 drivers. Hope they will release a fix for this soon, since new games need new drivers and we are stuck on old one.
the vga consume is 89w http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013...90_turboduo_video_card_review/10#.Up2yXkCnjoY
I dont have a x fire set up. Pretty sure the psu is not the source here, my system has a max consumption of around 200 W and as i said, all stress tests and gaming do well. Watching a video on youtube can't stress out my psu can it ? I have read around, and it seems its related to gpu memory clock bug, it gets stacked or something, and that messes HW. Will report back after i try 13.10 beta 2 drivers.
So it looks like all 7790 user have massive problems with the latest beta drivers, me to. I always went back to 13.11 B1. Weird thing is, I'm on a AM3+ MoBo and I've changed my CPU from a Phenom II to an newer FX 4300 and the lockups and chrashes are completely gone. What's only left is sound crackeling while watching Youtube. So it's NOT a PSU, or hardware thing. It's a driver problem with 7790 cards. Edit: With the 13.11 B9.5, still broken for 7790
Just got another bsod on 13.10 beta 2 drivers while watching a video, i think im gonna smash this card with a hammer and never look at ati again.
Right click video > turn hardware video acceleration off. End of BSODs. Smashing the card won't solve a damn thing...It's obviously the drivers based on your tests. Send it to me if you don't want it anymore...I need to get off a pair of 4870x2's that still work after 6 years.
