    Hi guys how are you?

I`m going to the USA next month and i`ll buy a new high capacity SSD for me

I live in Brazil and here one of 1TB or 960GB SSD is something about 3x the price that we pay at the USA :(

So i saw this both SSD`s and wanna know what`s the best choice, and of course, if you have some more advice fell free to post here :)

I'd go Corsair between the two, i've a force gt and since day 1 it's been rock solid.
the new samsung drives are better though.

I've set a samsung 840 evo 240g in my laptop.I like it a lot good performance and no issue for the moment. For the performance/money it's a very good choice.

Before i was using a Kinston v200+ 240g and to be honnest this ssd was slower than the Samsung in benchmark but in real use i dint see the differnce.

So pick up a good brand who offert you a good warranty and enjoy your new snappy computer :banana::banana:

Brazil here too, and really happy with a 180gb Corsair Force GS, but with the money I spent (around R$750), you can probably buy something better today.

I've had problems with Starforce based SSD's, they would fail to boot intermittent and had odd pauses.

Bought a Samsung EVO, brilliant SSD... no problems at all. Highly recommended!
Also have a Toshiba 512GB 2.5" SSD, also a great SSD. No problems at all.

    Im also looking into this.

looking at the evo as well.

just planning to use for OS and use my regular drives for games/storage

but dont know what size I should get, with the way that windows 8.1 likes to use drive space.

I'm wondering what an OCZ Vertex 460A would be like, keeping in mind it's a new model after the Toshiba buyout.

Samsung 850 EVO, this one beats other similarly priced ones by 50% at the randoms.

don't be a marketing and BS d!ck and just go with the cheapest.

I'm sure a second or two cold boot time won't change that much in your life.

Compra um Crucial MX100 512GB, os melhores em preço, performance e qualidade.
Eu tenho 1 e estou bastante satisfeito.

Purchase an MX100 Crucial 512GB, the best in price, performance and quality.
I have one and I am quite satisfied.

Whatever you do DO NOT GET SAMSUNG 840 EVO'S. Basically avoid TLC nand.

I've got 3 of the suckers and get bad slowdown on read speeds as time goes on.
I have to periodically run "Diskfresh" to restore performance.

My worst one if this sucker, the 250gb look at these read speeds. 68mb/s avergage across the drive !!!

I HAVE 2 SAMSUNG 840 EVO's with the problem alot of people are having with them. I would say go for the 840 as that does not have the issue but the 840 EVO NO WAY.

Apparently the Crucial MX100 is the one to go for atm, worth considering OP.

Both the Crucial MX100 or OCZ ARC100 are worth considering.

Definitely they are on the right direction. I like what their current management is doing, they saw the problems and they are doing the right steps to lead OCZ back to sucess. I heard their RMA gone down by quite alot, Im guessing with the access to the premium NAND from Toshiba and Barefoot controller things are running well.
