DIAMOND STEALTH 64 PCI VIDEO CARD...

    hey everyone im NEED HELP and i NEED HELP!<br>

    i have a problem with my video card that makes me want to <IMG SRC="smileys/knock.gif"> on my computer.<br>
    <br>
    you see i have this video card from like 1994 called a Diamond Stealth PCI video card v1.05H.<br>
    it has an s3 Vision964 chipset and its about 8 inches in length.<br>
    <br>
    the problem is when i install it into a pci slot and turn on my computer the moniter doesnt turn on all i hear is the computer making beeps n stuff.<br>
    <br>
    what can i do to fix this?<br>
    i heard somewhere that i had to disable the intergrated video or remove the extra video adapter but im not sure how to do that or if its correct.<br>

    can someone please help!<br>

    In your BIOS there should be a an option somewhere that says something like: "Primary VGA BIOS" and you have the option of setting it to AGP or PCI, you need to set it to PCI. This should fix it, if indeed you have an onboard video card. If not then either you have another card in there or the video card has had it. If you have a video card already in your computer you can either take it out and replace it with the Diamond Stealth, or you can have them both in at the same time. But make sure whatever card you want to be the primary card is in a slot higher (in a tower case) than the other one.
