    Win 7 x64 SP1 - i5-2500K@4.5GHz and GTX 580@reference-stock 3GB (344.60WHQL).

    GPU - 1 billion-digit: :D
    [IMG]
    result: 57.095s

    Difference between CPU and GPU at 32 millions-digit - soon... :)

    Look my previous message - my specs

    At 32 millions-digit:
    -> GPU
    [IMG]
    result: 0.681s

    -> CPU
    [IMG]
    result: 17.313s

    GPU is 25.4x faster than CPU! :D

    NOTE: I don't test CPU at 1 billion-digit because 4-core is "few" and insufficient - too time. ;)

    No new other results yet about few days... Because any GeForce 600 series or newer hasn't good optimization for GPGPU (CUDA, OpenCL...)!? lol

    We remember "SuperPI" but GPUPI has succeded SuperPI. :)

    @cowie: Do not test GPUPI yet? lol

    Titan may be very good for GPUPI due to "fast" double precision. :)

    Go to NVCP, click 3D setting and select to enable or disable fast DP.

    You can try that 750ti too :nerd:

    Just use default settings, 1billion, with batch 20m, reduction 64

    This is what I get with 12CU's, in times like these I wish it had 2-3 more :p

    Shame it doesn't use openCL1.2 @ driver, nvidia did add openCL1.2 in 343.xx+.. Aida64 says 100% openCL1.2 and 62% openCL2.0

    1215mhz, but I had few stuff open in background..

    Ah it has only 5CUs, guess that's why..

    Ok I pushed to the max 1254mhz and got bellow 50s, 1240mhz was still in 50s :nerd:

    Now I really wonder what that HOF does @ 1300mhz+ :D

    well sorry tj I figured I would go with the faster memory card first my dcII but this is the max I can game at on stock voltage with this card.
    but there are no butterflies or space dudes and stuff so its easier on it to crunch numbers so you can get away with higher clocks in this app

    you got me by 6 seconds

    Yes 1500 mhz 16cu's vs ~1200mhz 12cu's then you know the drill..

    Cowie, weird try newer driver I see 344.11 has older cuda, maybe that affects it too.

    And what if you use lower vram OC can you push gpu core higher?

    Use default one, or it will start to bias the result.

    This said, AMD gpu's are a bit faster on it, so... this could explain why not much result..

    For 290x users, check what memory you are using, some lower score are due to the memory used on some models ( Elpida vs Hynix ).. its a bit sad we cant use dual gpu's right now.

    Same for 780TI users, check the timing of the ram..

    Also older AMD 7970/280x has 32Compute units and this will speedup.. Its basically has almost 2x more then mine
