The 470 AIB cards look like a deal compared to a 480 at 1080p. a couple fps here or there is not worth it. Also I see 470's in stock and 480's still out of stock.
Aye. It's weird... Those seem to run cooler and use less power than the performance difference suggests.
The price difference.. better to go with 480. Which is faster..not by much but for extra what $20+ .. get the 480
Prices in Germany are quite a bit different. Powercolor 470 4GB is at 215Eur while Msi gaming X 470 8GB is 239Eur.
That Strix is stupidly priced. The 1060 is also 389 or something dumb like that same for 480 349. Devil was 219€ in germany. Sure it is same as the reference 4gb as in 219€ But if there was such card here for sale it would make sense over 4gb nitro+ that costs 269€
XFX actually isn't cheapest 480 at least in mindfactory when it comes to custom cards. 470's are 219 from powercolor and XFX and then XFX has one more expensive model also. And in 470's Sapphire is the most expensive with MSI. In 480's Sapphire and Gigabyte are cheapest. XFX is the most expensive custom for 480's there and asus / msi are in between. The pricing is all over the place for now.
In Europe, with 20 euros more than a good RX 480, you get an ASUS 390x. With 50 euros more you get either a Sapphire Tri-X OC Fury, or a Gigabyte Nano. It's ridiculous.
