i can totally see pc gaming rigs taking this turn towards compact design, the lil' asus directcu mini 970, tiny but incredibly mighty, coupled with one of those tiny mobos and one of these coolers, half the size of regular rig, though just as powerful, ..small psu would be needed though but as all the tech is using less and less power as well as space then that should be fine, 500 -700w platinum, sorted. (low profile ram).
In my eyes a desktop gaming rig should be centered about max power. Leave compact design and low power components for the gaming laptops segment.
