There are reports 1 2 3 4 5 coming in that hackers are gaining access to people's accounts even with the always-on DRM to cut down on both hacking and piracy. Victims claim they are missing gold and... More...
Ha! I would have never thought Blizzard (with many years of MMO experience) will have such issues... but somehow Blizzard really messed up everything they could. I wonder, why did they change their "available when ready" approach and released clearly unfinished game...
ya, seems like a battle.net problem not diablo 3 itself. inb4 all the fans go Y U RELEAS GAME IF NOT FINISHED when they've all wanted it out for so long and kept pestering blizzard to release it already.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...lo-3-account-hacks-outlines-security-measures Seems Blizzard have issued a statement about the hacks.
Typical Blizzard statement. That title is a bit misleading though. No where in the article did Blizzard say they were hacked.
Stealing loot and gold from others to have better stuff in some crappy game like D3, why ? I'm waiting for some offical technical information about this problem, if Blizzard is going to release it.
Well given that for the last year or so I have gotten any number of emails from people claiming to be Battle.net and requesting that I go to some website to authenticate my account or risk having it closed down, despite not actually having a battle.net account until 6 days ago. Chances are a lot of these 'hacks' are the usual people being spanners and visiting sites they should not be.
The method they use bypasses it. How was it unfinished? Because of one security bug? Are you kidding me? The game is probably one of the most polished games that have come out in recent memory. There really hasn't been that many issues other then load on the servers from the amount of people that bought it.
Some people just like to be contrary to everything. It's cool for them to hate D3, everyone likes it, so they feel independent when they proclaim they hate it and how trash it is (like anyone cares).
Ye, but those are stupid people with bad PC protection and visiting dodgy sites Using an Authenticator since early 2009 and i have yet to be hacked.
Wont be resolved, it's the same as WoW. Get an Authenticator and some proper PC protection and don't visit dodgy sites, nothing to worry about then.
