Just ran 3dmark, took me a while to get it going since it was corrupted. Had i7-950 @3.8ghz. Got score of about 11900-12100 in firestrike. Now with new CPU I get 14490! Planning to upgrade GPU to 2 x 1080SLI. Should rock at 4K ultra settings. Can't wait!
Yep, great CPUs if you're stuck on the x58, I get over 16000 in fire strike with my 980Ti. You should be able to push the of higher with that 5690 and the higher multiplier
yeah, didn't want to upgrade MB and Ram..got cpu for $310 au - which is much cheaper than 6700K or 5930K (they retail over 550 in australia). With 2 1080's I'll probably get somewhere in the 25000 firestrike range...more than enough to game at 4K
