When I try to open Edge I get a opening white screen for Edge which does nothing and closes after a while. I cannot enter a search address or anything. Internet Explorer works.

I have done the following to no avail:

Checked that it is switched on (Auto) in msc.services

    Run full antivirus system scan

    Run Disk Check and cleanup

    Run SFC

    Run DISM

Looks like I will have to run Recovery or re-install W10 but keeping all my files.

Any other help or ideas would be welcome before I re-install. Thanks.

They've broken it down into a lot of steps to make it easier, but really there is only two steps

    1. Delete the Edge install dir
    2. Reinstall Edge with the powershell command

With a couple of reboots thrown in

Decided not to wait and did the EDGE re-install and all went quickly and easily.

Unfortunately It did not help and still does not work.

Well if that didn't work then yes, reinstall is the only option for you. I've been there before. If edge is the only problem, save your time and use something else tbh.

In-place upgrade would probably fix it and leave your system as it is, but yea I would just use Chrome or FF

Thanks all. I have installed Chrome and still have IE so won't worry about Edge.
