It is with much pleasure we can announce that today MSI has released their MSI Afterburner software, an application to overclock MSI graphics cards. And I it say with much pleasure here as Guru3D has been deep inside the development of this all new overclocking application..

Afterburner is powered by our own Rivatuner engine, but this software comes with a few extra's. AfterBurner will support both ATI and NVIDIA graphics cards, Voltage regulation on the GPU, overclocking on core, shader and memory domains, GPU load levels (ATI), fan speed adjustment, device information .. and a really wicked graphical (configurable) monitor

seems quite nice, but doesn't seem to support 4870x2 properly, cannot control fan speed and only one gpu gets overclocked.

It could be AMD`s fault lol :D
I dont think unwinders program works with ATI cards with Xfire only Single GPUS.

Mate, can I ask you to stop giving useless replies please? I should start worrying after seeing your comments in RT forum. _Think_ then post LOLs.

sorry my bad, had to select other gpu manually through settings and now fan speed works, voltage also seems to work ok [judging by voltage monitor] but my furmark fps drops to 23 while oced using this util to 840gpu/950mem and when using ccc to overclock running 800gpu/950mem gives me 27fps :3eyes:

Looks nice, wish my card supported the core voltage overclock feature. I'll stick with with the EVGA Precision uses a smaller footprint but that could change with additional skins. Nice work!

Reads max GPU voltage correctly with 190.62 WHQL on Windows 7 64-bit.

Pity there is no G15 LCD screen support.

    Very practical layout, nice work.

I honestly don't see any difference between Precision and Afterburner other than the voltage control which we all know doesn't work for the 285. Is there something I'm missing??

One more stupid question so be nice...

If ASUS can release GTX 285 cards that let you modify voltages (with the included software) than why can't the rest of us change voltages? Would flashing the BIOS allow for software voltage mods or is this just another pipe dream?

Just have a look into this thread:

Wheres the documentation showing the cards with voltage support?

I wonder how this reacts with my cards..
Usually I lose performance in games when I use RivaTuner and eVGA tool's manual fan control options..
The fan controller seems to work for all 3 cards using the latest forceware drivers..

I love this tool, the ability to set my own custom "Auto" profile for my fan speed is incredibly useful, and makes Auto a viable option for me again.

Thanks Unwinder for a great tool, if only Asus had put a nice VRM regulator on my GTX275 :(

That's fantastic information but it fails to answer my question. Let's make this easier for all of us.

Is it possible to use a software voltage tuner on a reference GTX 285 at this time?

If not will this be possible in future versions of the program?

All I want is a simple yes or no answer. I understand these things aren't easy and I imagine you guys have other things to do in life besides develop freeware for those of us that are not as technically inclined. Trust me I appreciate what you guys do.

Evenbalance no longer allow API hooking of Direct3D runtimes due to some FRAPS related cheats. Now keeping in memory everything OSD related will result in Punkbuster kick.
However, there is an option called "Stealth mode" in the server's properties, which allows hiding OSD technologies from Punkbuster's view area. Try to enable it.
