What's special about laptop PSU's?

I'm looking for a spare power supply for my laptop. The one I have is not broken, I just, literally, want a spare.

Trouble is I can't find one anywhere. Mine is a PA-1131-05 but I can only seem to find PA-1131-03 and PA-1131-07 online, but they have *exactly* the same specs. Same voltage and amperage, same wattage too obviously (135W - it's a gaming laptop). Same connector too, in case you were wondering lol (well it, looks the same, I'll be happy to be corrected here)

However Acer say I *need* the '05' version which, not really surprisingly, is only available from them at a very inflated price compared to the others I can get from Amazon et al :(

What's so special about the Acer one? It's not like it produces special electrons that only an Acer laptop can use...

    ...or does it?

    I'm going to say nothing.

I know that my laptop can sometimes come with a 150W adapter, and that there are 210W adapters you can use for it (though it wont use the extra 30W)

My feeling is that the other ones would both be fine to use but just wondered if anyone knew anything I didn't?

Nice find! I couldn't find any at all.

40 quid isn't too bad, it just that on amazon the 07 is 25 quid...
