For 170 euro I think I am gonna buy gtx 950 to change my 570. Iwill resell my 570 for 80 euros. It will be 40% quicker in 1600x900 ? What do u think. My other machine is a i7 960 with 12 GB ram.

You should try to squeze ~20more euros out of your budget. That should be enough for a GTX960. Which is way better than the GTX950.

Nvidia ****ed up the pricing on the GTX950 and 960 they are to close together. (960 costs most of the time only arround 20$ more.)Which is why I can't recommend the GTX950 to anyone.

    Gtx570=gtx750ti
    Gtx 950 > gtx750 ti by 40%
    I make it wrong?
Review sites tell me that gtx 950 is in pare with gtx760.

R9 380 is quite some more money especially the 4gb version.
He should be fine with a GTX960 for ~20euros more compared to the GTX950.

That's no upgrade. 960 or higher, or the AMD equivalent.

I would only buy GTX 950 if my next upgrade is Pascal and can't wait.
As many people mentioned try to get GTX 960 or better. My GTX 570 eating alive the GTX 750Ti.

I just gonna hold on to my GTX 570. Wanna test Fermi with DX 12.

    950-960 = not future proof.

If you're not into gaming but planning to make a HTPC computer 950/960 and the new edition GM 206 Maxwell based GTX 750 are the only ''future proof".

You have to declare what you are willing to buy for the future. We only giving some other points to look at it and considered with your wallet of course.

OP, if you can't stretch your budget for another 20 or 30€ for 960 2G or a bit more for 960 4GB then go for 950 2GB, OC the hell out of it (around 1450/7500) and you should be more than fine for 1600x900 gaming.

Don't forget to sell it at least few weeks earlier before Pascal cards comes.

One more thing. GTX 570 tested stock clock which is around 722. If you can manage to get it up to 860-890 , then the whole test is different at end.

Also if you buy GTX 950, sell it before pascal as the other member said.

Come on siriq, even Kepler is behind alot of the cards these days not Fermi. 950 would probably kill 570 in every single game.

Talking about DX12 and Fermi is kinda ridiculous. Does nvidia even know you are waiting for their support?

I was compering my card to 750Ti, not 950. I wanna keep Fermi because i like to test it under DX 12. It is my personal hobby if i can say so.
Yes , Nvida knows i am waiting for the Dx 12 support. Let them know many times :D

Grab a cheap 950 and overclock it to match the 960. It´s gonna be 60% faster in some of the latest games. As for the 4gb 960, expensive and slow to handle all that memory anyway.

You can also overclock the 950, probably further than you can any 570.
