    hey guyss so i ws wondering i currently have a MSI R6670 1gb gddr5
and i was thinking of buying a 550ti as a upgrade for games like bf3 and crysis 2
its pretty cheap here and i dont want the gts 450 because its old now.
Also will my intel pentium E5400 2.7 ghz over clocked at 3.34 ghz bottle neck it.

    thankx
sent using samsung galaxy s wifi 5.0 using bluetooth keyboard.

Wouldn't really bother if a 550ti is all thats in your budget...It's not much faster then what you currently own..A radeon 6670 is about the same speed as a GTS 450...a 550 is only slightly faster then that. You prob would get more fps from upgrading your cpu then you would from changing your graphics card.

It'd be like someone buying a 339.00 dollar i7 2700k to replace there 319.00 i7 2600k and get hardly and not really feel any difference. That money would be much better spent on a new cpu/motherboard upgrade. An you will notice much more from it.

What games are you playing and what resolution? Which games are you having trouble running smoothly. I see bf3 as one...and your cpu is very dated...I wouldn't be suprised if your not even maxxing out your current gpu. You can find out by running the afterburner on screen display and have your gpu usage up on the screen while you play. if its frequently below 90 percent...or at times even far below that then you are heavily cpu bottle necked.

Also another 2GB of ram would prob do you good. I don't build anyone gaming computers with less then 8gb of ram anymore...but really you could get away with 4 still but def not 2gb!

upgrade your cpu and mobo first. I had an 8800GT with e6600 at 3ghz and it bottlenecked my gpu in crysis.. so dont bother getting a 550ti it will be wasted trust me

okay i see well when i run a test i cant seem to get it right.
om after burner it is like 100% and my cpu shows 100% on core temp also so im confused?
i run my games at 1600 by 900 and i want better performance in crysis 2, and battlefield 3 when i get it.

tbh right now you are better off with a new cpu, m/b, memory combo first. any decent vc is going to be chocked by that system

you would also need a new gpu I`m afraid, but it would run better than it is now

newegg recommends 500 watt so I guess it will work. I read a review they said it was decent better quality then the junk they reviewed previously from them and just 6 moths think you will be ok with a 6850
