Thought I would share a fix I found for an issue with my 5850's running in Crossfire. I've been having horrible frame rates recently and could not figure out the issue for the life of me.

I reinstalled and tried several Catalyst drivers from 12.9 to 13.10 Beta and had single digit frame rates in games that used to run at 60fps.

Finally I downloaded MSI Afterburner and found my GPU's were idling at around 90% just sitting on Windows desktop. So I started using Task Manager to stop processes.

After a few, I found the culprit...
Punkbuster - Anti-Cheat Service used for games like Battlefield 3, Bad Company, Call of Duty 4

Try disabling PnkBstrA and PnkBstrB in Task Manager and see how your performance does. It may not help everyone, but it fixed my issue with games being nearly unplayable. I just can't play any Punkbuster secure games right now until it is fixed. :(

    Hope this helps someone.

So you rather use crossfire to play against bots?
