    Just for share and I think this post is already late because there are lots of reviews in the net for the new ATI 6970 video card. At least we can say that this would be a real benchmark score and I personally did the run. Also, I’m using Intel’s new Sandybridge for the tests and I will enumerate the configuration later on.

    The video card I have here is a MSI ATI R6970-2PM2D2GD5. Specs are 2GB of GDDR5 Mems running at 5500mhz / 880mhz Default Core Clock / 256Bit and with 1536 Unified Shaders.

    Plain and simple design box but its huge

    You have 1 Dual-Link DVI Port / 1 Single-Link DVI / 2x Mini Display Port and lastly an HDMI connection With one card alone you can actually have 4 displays for Eyefinity

    Pencil case look for the Top Side hehehehe 1x 8pin and 1x 6pin Power Inputs

    Are you running the ram on the blue or black slots?

    that doesnt look right, i was getting around P20500 in Vantage with my i7 and 5850 OC'd, physx off( i.e. i have an 8800GT in this rig too ), would have expected a lot higher. I havnt tested the 6970 on this rig with Vantage with Physx off though, only with it on.

    Thank you, the reason I'm asking is because I ordered the same board and I will use ram with tall heatsink, so the blue mem slots will become unusable cause the cpu heatsink is wide.

    Actually there are many factors affecting Vantage scores. What i7 processor are you using? 1366 or 1156? Triple Channel or Dual? lastly, maybe your processor or memory speed is oc'ed higher than mine.

    @Paulo
    Ok. nothing to worry about. What cooler will you be using?

    His profile lists a Core i7 920, that means a 1366 and a triple channel...

    I'`ll be using my old TRUE120 with a 1556 retention kit, or I'll buy a Venomous X.
