I have an Acer aspire one D250 Netbook which is 7 years old.
My question is i want to run windows 10 on it.. currently it has windows 7.
It has 2gb ram, intel atom 1.66ghz processor.
What is the best 120 or 128 gb ssd for this netbook...?
I was considering the sandisk 128 gb g25 ssd.
And also how can i update the drivers to support windows 10 for wireless lan, Bluetooth etc
    Any advice is most welcomed..
    Thank you

did you install w10 already? it should come with all the drivers provided by ms, samsung evo 850 120gb would be my choice, you can buy it for less than 60$ sometimes, I don't know if there's still a x86 w10 but in any case I strongly advice you to install an extra 2gb of ram otherwise it will keep freezing with a few browser tabs open

btw I wouldn't spend anything on a 7yo atom at this point to be honest

There are x86 version of windows 10..
I have not installed it yet.. not untill i upgrade it.
2gb is the max amount of ram i can updgrsde to.
I just want to use it for internet.. right now its all in dust..
Cant sell it because it was a gift.
    Thanks for the suggestion.

    we are talking about a 10' netbook,right?
on that hardware is kinda dificult to work on a spreadsheet or to generate content, let alone editing media.
So,for surfing the Web,mail, listen to music and all web based applications the netbook can suffice.
Now,i would suggest a light Gnu/Linux distro for that netbook.
You can create a live USB thumbdrive, and try it,see if it gives a new life to that netbook.

in that case a lightweight Linux distro is your safest bet.

you would need to sterilize it leaving win7+2015 skin, I agree with anticupidon, try a light Linux distro and see if it works for you, otherwise we can give you the usual tips to make w10 "usable"

Such as disabling unnecessary services in order to give you the maximum possible free ram and cpu usage. :)

I did this on my old laptop and it worked wonders. It has an ultra low specification yet it runs ok.

Dual core 1.2Ghz CPU, 4Gb ram, etc...

    yes and no...
if you add an antivirus and the the usual software build up caused by updates and whatnot, that netbook will slow down.
With lightweight distro you are in command what runs and what doesn't.And a better security by default at lower hardware requirement.
But as another gurus have said, you can tweak Windows 10 and call it a day.
    Cheers!

I forgot to add, if possible, upgrade the ram to 4Gb. It'll cost almost nothing and you'll get a decent boost in speed...

those netbooks come with 2 GB of RAM.
some with just 1 GB.And i remember to see many with soldered RAM,so no upgrade .
more i tried many times to add more RAM on netbooks 99% i failed.
severe limitation by chipset/motherboard,almist all netbooks have a 2 GB RAM limit.
    but i may be wrong,tough.

I have an Aspire One Netbook from around 2010 with 1.66ghz Intel Atom and 1gb memory. Came with Windows 7. It's biggest issue is low resolution, 1024x600

I was able to get Windows 8 running on it including the apps from the windows store. You have to hack the registry to force 1024x768 resolution, the lowest allowable for windows apps to run.

I tried the windows upgrade to tool to force a windows 10 upgrade. After it downloaded the OS, I ran it and it said my device wasn't worthy.
