I have a Western Digital External Hard Drive. 1TB

    Model number: WDC WD10EACS-00ZJB0

I can't access anything on the HDD. It still shows the right amount of GB taken up by my files though, and the file names, when I click to go into the files I can't access them. I ran the diagnostic and it's only failing on the Spin Up Time.

I have no clue what to do and I'm freaking out. I just need to get to those files....I have been in the process of backing things up, so luckily some files are backed up, but there are still lots that are not. Please help!!!

If you really need the files you could remove it from it's case and connect it via S-ATA... Might be a dead USB -> S-ATA controller.

EDIT: You could try mounting it in Linux and copy the files via the terminal, I could help you with that if needed.
