You can use HWiNFO64 for OSD. But still require RTSS.

I'm using it now. The setting is under sensor status.

Just installed my Asus GTX1070 Strix, Micron again...

I will try to run 1-2 hours of Unigine, see if it's stable out of the box, if it is, I think I won't return it, otherwise it might take MONTHS to get lucky and get a Samsung chip...

    Hope I won't have issues.

You could just go play Games and enjoy the upgrade...

That's probably what I'm gonna do if after hours of benchs/games at stock there aren't any issues.

The thing is that it's really infuriating to get a "lower" quality card for the same price, and to have a lot less room to overclock as reviewed.

Hey guys I was thinking about upgrading my gtx 680 2gb to a 1070 and I found the KFA2 model at around 390€. Sadly I don't know anything about them and wondered if any of you guys had any KFA2 card and can give me some infos?

The card I'm looking is GTX 1070 EX model, 2x fan with leds on it. This is the code product: 70NSH6DHL4XK

    Thanks.

I think mine was the EX model while the one in the review is EXOC. I guess that shouldn't change too much though. I'm looking at this model because the next one is at least 100 euros more... thanks for linking that PNeV!

I am sure EX and EXOC is a difference in clock speeds out the box, couple of drags of a slider in Afterburner will fix that.

Yeah, that's probably true. I also had a guy on youtube who made a perfomance test of this exact card tell me that the fans DO stop when the card is idle or low load and he even sent me a pic of it so that's awesome to know.

    .
How does the core overclocking work on these cards?
I set it to +value and I notice the core clock goes down in afterburner and gpu-z (under load ofcourse) even though load is 100%. Eg. I set it to +100 and it peaks in the first few seconds at 2050 but it goes down to 2038 and then 2012!
The higher the +value, the lower the drop though. At +175 it stayed at 2101Mhz and at +160 it was at 2088Mhz. IIRC the droops happened only at 1.043v (as per GPU-Z). Is this by design? It ofcourse shouldn't matter but I just want to know how the card works.

Without touching anything it will operate between 1936-1963MHz, mostly the former. My micron card was at 1974Mhz constant.

On this micron memory chip scandal. I haven't heard a thing from Gigabyte about it. Nor anything on the gigabyte forums. Is it possible this is only an MSI and EVGA issue only?

My gigabyte G1 has micron chips, but no issues as of yet.
