Cheers Marcel.
Some great work in there. Quite like the plain black singlet and jeans look, imo suites him better then trying to resemble the dante of past.
I swear he based on a real life person though, an actor maybe.
Edit: The guy from jumper and plays vader in sw ep3.

Ok...Seems I haven't finished this game.
Can somebody help me out with Virgil. I get him all the way down to a slither of health and then all of a sudden he has full health, then after I whoop him a little he does his sword clone crouch thing and his health is suddenly very low.
How do you kill him ? I spent an Hour battling this mofo yesterday and never I do seems to work.

Yeah, click both analog sticks.
My wife got me a copy of DmC... and this game is awesome.
I was on the fence about it, as a huge DMC fan it was surprising to see Capcom changing things up after DMC4.
But... after putting some time with the game I'm so glad they did. I'm loving everything about it. Yeah, it's a bit on the easy side... but it's so damn fun. The level design and art design are fantastic.
And, I don't care what anyone says... I love the new Dante. All the people crying that he's "emo"... makes me wonder if they even know what the hell emo means.
This Dante feels so much more fleshed out then the previous one.

I never understood why everyone thought the old Dante was so "badass"... specially the one from DMC3. If you listen to what he says and how he says it... he's such a douche.
It's so campy and cheesy, that outside that "so over the top" world and half thought stories... there's no way he'd sound badass.
This Dante feels much more thought out and like an actual person. The complaints about his dialog, motivations and writing... I don't get. This DmC has the most solid story... and easily the best dialog out of the series.

yeah if you like **** you and **** you sure that's grade A writing right there some say that scene is meant to be funny its not its childish which was probably what they were going for anyway gotta appeal to them kids.
I'll give them the storyline makes more sense and is coherent this time around but its basically a rehash of DMC 1 & 3 but you know what? i'll take the cheesy camp dialogue any day of the week over this political satire grim dark stuff, original dante was a lovable clown and more cunning than he let on he was always over the top larger than life that was the whole idea behind the series!!! the new guy is just douche got no charm whatsoever
Glad I rented this on 360 rather than waste my money gameplay was slow as hell I think I could read a whole newspaper article by the time donte actually hit something lol, input lag was terrible, lack of lock on, devil wtf did they do to it? super slow mode the game was already slow what were they thinking? its so easy to get a SSS ranking I had everything unlocked not that I needed it
quite frankly they should've renamed this game to something else because it sure as hell isn't DMC

This is probably the best non angry/preachy review of everything that's wrong with the reboot

When his health is low and he kneels down with his sword, his clone is fighting you around while he kneels, then use the Devil Trigger. His clone will fly up in the air (like normal monsters do), then you finish the real Vergil off.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...target-by-800k
Capcom drops expected sales of DMC 2013 by 800k from 2 million for the year.
Info in spoiler tags
Click to show spoiler
Quote:
Capcom has reduced its sales target for Ninja Theory's Devil May Cry reboot.
It had hoped to ship two million copies of the action game by the end of its financial year. It now expects to ship 1.2 million copies - 800,000 short of the initial target.
As of January 2013, one million copies had been shipped.
While sales of the PC version of the game are not included in Capcom's figures, they are further bad news for the game, which, despite hitting top spot in the UK chart at launch, has failed to match the performance of previous titles in the series.
In the UK launch week sales for DmC were just a third of the amount that previous entry Devil May Cry 4 sold during its launch week in 2008 - despite DmC having an extra three days on sale.
It was a similar story in Japan, where DmC sold less than half of what DMC4 did in launch week. In Japan Ninja Theory's DmC shifted 110,429 copies on PS3, while its 360 version didn't even crack the top 20, so it must have sold less than Pokemon Black & White 2's 5,724. Comparatively, DMC4 sold 205,390 on PS3 and 40,023 on Xbox 360 in its debut week for a grand total of 245,513.
What DmC's sales mean for the future of the series remains to be seen.
|
Can kinda see why though, If i where a fan of the original DMC's (Of which i am) even though the new Dante is pretty cool, if not a better Dante than the last, the game comes off to me as a bit too 'Dude bro, I like using swear words unnecessarily'.
Still a cool game, just wouldnt call it DMC and while change is good, this dmc is just a bit to western for me.
Oh and the fact that you need to pay for alt costumes instead of just being unable to lock them is a bit of a screw you to the fans, not to mention the laziest transformation (Devil Trigger) i've ever seen in a game.

This is a case, like with many others, where I honestly didn't find the profanity that profuse in the game. Yes, there's the one boss fight... but that's the worst (language part) of the game.
The rest of the game is very tame, language wise, when compared to a lot of other games out there.
It's like people got that one boss fight stuck in their head and are hearing profanity in the game that isn't actually there.
Also as a die hard DMC fan, this is the DMC I've wanted. Yes the Devil Trigger wasn't as awesome as it could've been... but it's a nice homage to what Dante is growing into. Of who he is becoming.
Honestly, DMC3 used to be my favorite in the series. But when I went back and tried to replay it a while back... it was a chore. And good god is the dialog, story and voice acting terrible.
It worked at one point in the series because it kind of felt in place with the tone of the world in the game... but, now... Dante doesn't come across as cool and badass. He comes across really campy and kind of like a dork.

I think it might be the Bloody Palace DLC which is supposed to be free on the consoles from 20th February. 1.3 GB is a bit too big for a patch unless they've changed the FMVs from 720p to 1080p or something.

::UPDATE 2:: The PC version of Bloody Palace is also confirmed for release on 2/20!
::UPDATE:: Just got word that the rumble issue in the PC version will also be getting a fix tomorrow.
DmC fans, I'm very excited to announce two pieces of DmC news today.
First, we have a release date for the long-awaited Bloody Palace Mode! This highly-anticipated mode will go live via a free update next week by the following time table:
North America - PS3: Tuesday, 2/19 | Xbox 360: Wednesday, 2/20
Europe - PS3: Wednesday, 2/20 | Xbox 360: Wednesday, 2/20
Second, the free update next week for Bloody Palace will be accompanied by a patch that addresses a few major pieces of fan feedback we've received since the launch of the DmC demo. The most notable ones are given below.
-Poison AI issue addressed (she no longer enters non-interactive state)
-Lessened damage and style boost from Demon Evade
-Arbiter "Drop" now causes damage and style gain even if jump-canceled
-Non-damaging moves no longer provide style points
-Damage done by weakest enemies increased
-Damage done by all enemies increased on Nephilim and Son of Sparda modes
-Adjusted attack (parry) windows for Rage spin move.
-SS and SSS will now decay back down to S if you stop gaining style
-No more eternal angel glide (where Dante flies around)
So yay! Look forward to all that next week.

Whether that means all the above is now patched on PC( probably ) or we just got a Gig+ rumble fix lol, lets see.

Well there are some support files for the DLC but the DLC itself is not included.
Patch updated about 3.6 GB of files but I've no idea what they altered.
(A lot of the game data, some ini files and the exe but I'm unsure about the specific changes.)
Though UE3 patches can be pretty large due to the way the game data is packed in these "cooked" (compiled?) containers.
