    Hello guru's I am looking at getting a Network adapter for my main rig so I was wondering what you guys think is the best option.I saw a Amped wirless pci120e ac 1200 adapter for $80 bucks- Was wondering if this is any good? Or spend less and just get a usb adapter?

    My Modem is in the living room so I am trying to get some better performance by having 2 connection points.Main Rig is in the Last bedroom which is around 25 feet away connected via Ethernet.

    If you have any better ideas I am all ears lol.My Motherboard does not have wi/fi cheep bastards and its not a low-end board either-Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 7. Thanks dudes.:)

    I have ASUS PCE-AC68 802.11ac and have no troubles.

    My rig is placed in the farthest corner from the router (~15 meters and 3 walls), but system tray icon always shows full strength of signal.

    It has 3 antennas which can be installed either directly to the card (at the back of rig) or into the outer rack on the wire.

    https://www.asus.com/uk/Networking/PCEAC68/

    Its drivers for Win8 works fine in Win10.

    I am assuming the pci-e based cards have to be faster then the Usb ones correct? Yeah there is 2 Asus cards I found (red) but thing is I dont know if I wanna spend over $100 dollars on it.You get what you pay for tough. Thanks bud.

    It depends on your wireless router. If you want 1,3Gb over 5Ghz then check these:
    TP-LINK Archer T9E AC1900 -> 70$
    ASUS PCE-AC68 AC1900. -> 80-90$

    The Asus PCE-AC68 is what I have as well, it's excellent. There is a better Asus card released recently, but it's much more expensive. It might be the best thing next to a physical LAN cable for online gaming, assuming you have an equally good router. If it's a normal 802.11n or 802.11ac router the AC-68 will do just fine.

    Not only faster but it should get more power from PCI-E then from USB.

    I like the Asus one with 3 antennas. Schould compliment my system nicely. Pcie x 4 is all I need for one of those cards right? I have top slot a gtx 780 then right underneath is my soundcard also running at x4,I think there schould be one more x4 slot open.

    What's the difference between Asus PCE-AC68 and PCE-AC56 except for one less antenna and lower speed? I was looking at making my desktops wireless and upgrading my parents' laptop from half-n to AC.
