    good morning :)

im having issues with the network devices and i can't seem to understand
how to fix it. im working with Win 10 X64 Home, every driver is installed
manually ( z170 chipset ), every driver is up-to-date, everything works
    as it should be.

automatic driver\manufacture installation from Microsoft ( under hardware devices ) is set to "OFF".

and still every time im checking under network adapters in the device manager
in addition to my regular LAN adapter i see around 7 or 8 Wan Miniports
devices.. and i can't seem to get rid of it.

i have a regular router-modem with a wired connection and sometimes
i use the WiFi with the laptop when im in the living room. that's about it.

    any suggestions ? thanks

update - iv been checking and rechecking what cause this and i found out.

nothing will install WAN miniport unless i am going to my network
settings. if im going to network setting and than i check the device
manager - i see 7-8 miniports installed. if im restarting the PC and i don't
do it there are no miniports.

so going to network settings trigger something.
can anyone think of a solution to it ? some default settings i need to
change and i missed it ?

Why do you think that these miniport drivers should not be installed? They can be used by network protocols or by network card drivers themselves.
And these miniport drivers were installed not through windows update, but from local Windows files.

i don't think anything.. its just doesn't make any sense that il need it
    by definition.

if im doing something ( gaming online, browsing, downloading ) or anything
at all there is nothing installed. only if im accessing network settings.
if im restarting the PC - again there is nothing installed.
to me at least it seems like it triggers something and installing those
things and im curious how to disable it.

Don`t fix something that is not broken.
If you have zero issues witn net, internet then do not fiddle with network components of OS.
