You have to make one. It's the same thing as with Battlefield 4

It should be sitting there automatically by the game.

    Just a quick FYI.

The game was constantly crashing on loading the val royeaux mission for me.

Disabling the origin in game overlay and the hack to enable 60fps cutscenes stopped it for me (obviously it will only be one but I don't know what one).

In case anyone else gets this issue.

Where is this user.cfg? I cannot find it anywhere.

    It's already disabled.

I checked the Event viewer to see if there is anything but the only thing I could find that was logged within the couple of hours were WEHA-Logs. I googled my error code (0x9000004000010005) and found this:
    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/358806-28-whea-logger-event-viewer-error

In that and other threads you find when you Google it they talk about possible unstable CPU Overclock. Could this be the problem? I hope not ofc, wouldn't want to lower my clocks but idk...what do you guys think?

Game is gorgeous on the PS4 but it is a step up beyond that on PC. I am experiencing bad stuttering though, where the game either hitches for a split second or freezes for 2-3 seconds every 10 seconds or so. This even manifests itself on the main menu screen as the background video slows down then speeds up! I disabled Afterburner's OSD and that seemed to mostly fix the problem but I am still seeing much rarer but intermittent hitches from time to time. I am playing on Custom Ultra settings at 1920x1200 with 4xMSAA using the v344.75 drivers. Framerate is 60 fps in gameplay and 30 fps in cutscenes (though they too suffer from stuttering, though not too badly).

Anyone know what is causing this?

I played the PS4 version for nearly 6 hours and the PC one for about an hour...absolutely love the game so far. It is so much better than the dull and disappointing DA2 with a more expansive world, interesting characters, gorgeous environments and story that is not too bad, though to be honest I have been spending most of my time exploring and doing side quests. The Tactical View is a nice addition but is not something I have used outside of the tutorial.

Just realised...Afterburner's OSD plus Origin's overlay do not play nice together do they? I bet they are the cause of the stuttering...

Really impressed of such smooth launch.

I really like Mantle in this game. Always in the high 90s no matter where in game.

I'm getting constant 60 FPS myself at 1440p so I have no complaints on the performance front. The texture flashing can be annoying though, but it usually goes away after a reload.

What I will say is that the game's visuals are good, but nothing to write home about. They are decidedly cross gen, rather than next gen..

AC Unity is the only game out so far that looks next gen to me..

The graphics are a bit underwhelming. I'd have to add Advanced Warfare to games that look next gen though.

I've tried pretty much every possible suggestion and just can't seem to get this game to play smooth at all... plus, getting around 50fps in some areas is just pathetic for how the game looks.

I figure a patch and driver is needed, but it sucks waiting. Been wanting to get in this game for so long and its pretty crummy to have to wait on account of poor performance, but just not willing to play it in this condition.

Guess you need an AMD GPU.
Pity that we get these crappy launches with cards not being optimized.

Try to play without Vsync and set AA to low. SLI/CF isn't supported either.

try to play offline mode and vsync off....seems like the vsync is pretty broken for me ....

e.g. at the haven when vsync on can't really have stable 60fps but when it's off chances to go below 60 fps is low....
