Hello i have a build with an asrock extreme 3 gen 3:http://msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=8247 mobo in it and i was wondering if their is a preformance different from my mobo and this ASUS MAXIMUSIV-EXTREME-Z Z68 DDR3 Intel 1155pin : http://msy.com.au/product.jsp?productId=8059

Why is the price so high ?
I know the asus mobo has more expansion options and usb 3.0 headers and stuff like that in it but what are the real preformance difference between this mobo and my asrock mobo?

the maximus iv extreme has an nvidia nf200 chip that allows support for triSLI and quad crossfireX by 'increasing' the number of lanes available (whereas your board will only support dual SLI or trifire). it also has two molex ports to allow you to supply more power to the CPU and to the pcie slots. aside from that, its just asus ROG features and the associated price premium.

asrock boards are generally good bang per buck with a lot of features. stick with the asrock, its a bit more futureproof since it supports pcie3.0 when you swap to an ivy bridge based CPU.
