i find those games reasonable, probably non-played by any1 already?.
Altho maybe companies could simply make a crappy big server for pseudo-abandonware servers.... Anyways there should be a law in this cases, if you decide to drop support to a part of the game, that game should become free (aka download-able by other means  ) automatically (in case someone still sells it).

I was on SOCOM 3 and Battlefront II on the PS2 last week for some nostalgia fun.
Ending online support for PS2 games I can understand, but killing servers for PS3 games? This is why I strongly believe that when they end dedicated server support for games on modern systems, they should release a final patch for the games, that allows the player to host his/her own server, kind of like Game-spy. That is why you can still play Battlefront 1 & 2 on the PS2, it connects to GameSpy, and you host the multi-player session yourself. |
