Commandline doesn't work, just speeds up the game, unplayable that way.

60 fps is 2x faster than realtime (=30 fps). ;)

Dunno...i have mixed feelings about the game itself...30fps bothered me TOO much when i raced a bit during the first impression...

...then like The Run, ive began to drive fast, faster and even faster, without even stopping, and suddenly the 30fps cap totally disappeared from my mind.

Sure 60fps will be the ideal....but...i feel guilty to actually like the game. The way its designed, the always connected, the fact you need to run back to your hideout otherwise is all gone....its like forcing you to be on the edge always, to drive fast and faster.

    Well i like it lol.

Agree with u, but this horrible frame cap destroy all the good things of this game.

In my opinion game is good, but ofc not the best. If you like Hot Pursuit 2010 - you will be like NFS Rivals. Totally arcade, chaotic, dynamic racing game.

After 5h of playing there are some things what annoying me:
    - too small world
    - only 6 players in one session
    - 30FPS cap in PC version, when you add 60 FPS parameter game has got double speed
    - dissconections

If you want to see clear gameplay with really good quality go here:
NEED FOR SPEED RIVALS (PC) HD GAMEPLAY

Normal Race/Hot Pursuit/Head to Head with different time and weather conditions.

    I hope you like this;)

Hot Pursuit 2010 had no frame cap, so this is another question.

The TB video is very amusing.

Less amusing is what's happening in the video, it's funny to watch but games that make you unable to skip certain parts until you've done a "training" part frustrate me.

Not totally convinced they can easily undo that framerate limit, might buy the game then request a refund to show im unhappy with it, as not buying it effectively does nothing.

Yeah, the TB Let's NOT Play NFS: Rivals video was funny but toward the end I felt he was just moaning for the sake of it. The game is designed to run at 30 fps, end of, so blaming it for running at twice the speed when using tweaks seems a bit silly to me. OK, so PC games should run at whatever framerate the hardware can muster but this one doesn't so why moan about it when it's been long known that it was locked at 30 fps on ALL platforms. If you object to that then don't buy the damn game at all or wait for 60 fps support to be patched in then buy it.

Guys, it's a PC game, then why do we need GTX780TI and 120hz for? To play at 30fps? What the...

Unlocked 60 fps isnt playable but at least I can check my performance. @1080p there are few fps drops to 50, and during the night even to 45 fps. I tried lowest resolution also, but fps stays almost the same, so this game must be CPU limited on my PC. In summary, even if they unlock 60 fps, it will be hard to run this game with 60fps :).

To be honest, for me RIVALS is playable with 30 fps but game itself is very boring. This whole word is very small, 2 hours of gameplay and I already know all places. I think open world isnt very good choice for racing game

This was probably to protect the console versions. The consoles need to appear to be THE cutting edge in gaming. Yes you can run higher resolutions on the pc but your average console gamer might not notice. They would however notice the look and feel of the game at 60 vs 30.

60 fps used to be all I would accept but now I don't feel that way. La Noire for example can be unlocked and it runs smooth but looses it's cinematic feel because 60 fps is too "direct" looking for lack of a better term. Certain games are fine at 30 IMO but not racing. On the other hand a game capped at 30 can run in much higher resolutions without fluctuations at least. I run all the capped games at 3840x2160 downsampled to 1080p and they do look stunning. With some games the trade off is worth it but never in a racing game.

No steering wheel/pedal support in a RACING game? Jeez, what dumbasses!!

EA will remove gamepad/mouse support in the next BF4 patch probably.
