Try disabling DSR if you have it enabled. Also you should be able to load the next level if you let the game sit frozen for a few minutes.

Ahh, interesting. Never thought of that. Still I'd rather have benefits of shader cache with 344.11 than no shader cache at all with 344.88

Plus from what I've read both nvidia and game devs are aware of the issue:

DSR is disabled, thank you for reply though.
I know you can just wait for 2 minutes and the game will load but it really breaks game pacing for me.

Agreed, it's really unfortunate that drivers could cause an issue like this. Nvidia/Microsoft need to do more thorough testing as this affects a large number of A:I players. This had to come up in testing and they didn't care enough to fix it.

well just when i thought it was fine . borderlands 2 is crashing to the desktop (minimizing) like it did with the modded notebook drivers.
1080 native with 2088x1620 (x2.25) DSR in game.

    edit:
but if i set the desktop resolution to match, its fine. (as stated previously in this thread.)

Are you running any over clock on your GPU memory?

Does "for now" give us a hope this will happen in the future for other cards like my Titan Blacks?

Unfortunately getting 980s isn't an option for me since I have simulations (Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D v2.x) that I've monitored using 4.3GB-4.6GB VRAM when operating at 4K resolution ... so I need the 6GB VRAM the Titan provides.

nope. well to be specific i am using a modded bios with boost disabled:

any OCing causes a driver reset but, really, why OC BL2 w/gtx780?
    stable @1150 in mertoLL :)

edit: oopps you asked about vram . .nope.

I hate boost on the nvidia cards but i dont have the nerve to use modified bios to disable it. only other way of doing it castrates power states

yeah i first got a 770 but returned it and got a 780 because there is more control - or should i say better help at getting a good bios (cheers skyn3t!)

btw, loaded BL2 with the desktop @ native (1080) and didn't crash to the desktop . . . odd.

dishonered hasn't given me any problems and looks 1,000x better.

Holy crap... These freakin' drivers slowed down my "HQ" DOSBox. Seriously, there were some horizontal screen tearing... yes, on a 2D program using a hq scaler to run DOS games (!!!) Unfu**ingbelievable. Reverted back to 337.88 and everything came back to normal.

    Nice job NVidia!!!

I'm having weird overclocks with these drivers.
Can't seem to overclock as high as the 344.11/16.
Setting the same overclocks leads to artifacts, but no system instability and all the benchmarks finish fine with normal results.

I find it strange, usually you'll get a crash or something, but nope benchmarks run through with the graphic glitches..
Roll back and they are gone.

Stock clocks are find on all drivers.

NVIDIA needs to do something about Maxwell performance in SW:TOR...

I'm almost wondering if their memory bandwidth compression is actually bugged...

Apparently it plays bad in every MMO.

    Guild Wars 2? Check
    More CPU OC helps? No

    Final Fantasy XIV? Check
    More CPU OC helps? No

    SW? Check

Then when people complain about MMOs there's always those who say it's CPU bottleneck (lol), so a CPU bottleneck makes a 570 run better than a 970? And disabling shadows in-game and a few other things helps a lot with the FPS? Increasing the CPU clock by 600Mhz (Forced from 4.0Ghz to 4.6Ghz) doesn't help either? :nerd:

All i know is that i'm going to RMA my card if things don't get acknowledged or fixed by the mid of this month, then i'll get a 290x instead since they're cheaper than a 970.

Sure i'd lose DX12 but who cares when the 970 can't even perform well on games that push the cards (exception to BF4) and even on games that don't push that much?

I didn't buy the 970 to play League of Legends :)

In this case GPU usage was maxed out and running full boost clocks.

Then the CPU isn't the issue.
