This probably wont be happening. http://www.forbes.com/sites/ollieba...sy-xii-remake-may-not-be-happening-after-all/ I'd be surprised if we saw FF9/10/12 get released for the PC at all.
+1. I maybe getting ahead of myself here in regards to the FF7 remake and how little we know, but the fact that they've said they're changing the battle system has left me....i dont think bewildered and gobsmacked covers it, but i lack the vocabulary to use the proper alternatives to describe my feelings on the matter. Square seems to be thinking, why get a haircut when i can simply just have my scalp removed.
eh if they mess with ff7 battle system i wont buy it and and will be done with FF series as it i have no intrest ins FF15 if I get it for 1 dollar used, ok but other just no LAst FF game i enjoyed was FFX after that every FF game stoped being what what me love FF in first place
I dont think square understands what a remake is. I dont mind progress, but if every FF since X has shown, the series does not work without ATB or turnbased combat. Its not an action game, its not kingdom heart, kH being FF for the younger crowd (while obviously being awesome in its own right). Its just so confusing as to what seems to be going on here. I really cant comprehend the ineptitude of square.
If I would get ff9 for pc or any platform for that matter. One of my favorite ff games easily. Last great "ff" game was totally Lost Odyssey.
Always wanted to play that, but never got around to it, had moved onto pc gaming after my launch 360 died, by the time that game came out. Edit: Its a shame that it was never released on any other platform. I suppose a petition to bring it to pc and the new gen consoles would go unheard mostly due to the size of the game.
Lost Odyssey is pretty easy, there's a load of copies in local shops for as little as £3 each. Tales of Vesperia you can pick up from Amazon for £20.
Both are like, past 70 at least if you don't just railroad the main story http://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=5393 http://howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=9608
Yup, well worth it. If you've never owned a PS3 it's worth picking up Star Ocean: The Last Hope also. The dialogue/voice acting can be a bit cheesy but other aspects really do make up for it. The combat system is outstanding, easily my favourite in a game of its type. The crafting system is solidly implemented also, if that's your sort of thing. Tons of replay if you decide to play the new game + and unlock the hidden dungeons.
Although, if you're picking up a 360, star ocean on that is technically a bit superior in resolution, but you've got disc swapping and less content
