Hi guys, as from the title i want to disassemble my laptop to clean the fan and the heat sink but also i want to change the thermal paste because it's 3 years old, so i google it and found a lot of types so i get here to ask what is the best i found some using carbon and some using silver and some with copper , so any advice here ??
+1 MX-4 is my latest go-to thermal paste. Used to use Arctic Silver 5. I've not been daring enough to go for the liquid metal. Looks cool and is clearly very effective. Here's a cool thermal paste chart/story at Tom's: http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/...ts/-4-CPU-Air-Cooling-High-Pressure,3364.html http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/thermal-paste-performance-benchmark,3616.html
I second that. I have a lot of Arctic Cooling MX-4 thermal paste left over. Ordered it last year. Easy to apply and remove.
