Overclocking Quads on Gigabyte P35-DS3R

Just to let you guys now about my experience with this new mobo.

It overclocks amazing with Quad cores cpus , i think its the implementation of the new chipset and the enhanced 6 phase power regulator , the great bios options on the voltage area. Also the chipsets (north and south bridge runs very cool). For $129.99 it is a steal. Highly recommend it if you want to get high overclocks in your Quad core cpu. So far my highest overclock on my Q6600 has been 3780Mhz but im limited by my air cooling , in high end H2O ,Tec or Phase it should do much better.

did you find the max fsb on chip with lower multi?

 

Not yet im still playing with my memory timings , geeting ready for 3DMark01 first. But i will try later and let you know cowie , i got a good chip eventhought its a B3 revision does not run hot at all and overclocks really good , I have seen guys with B3s in extreme forums overclock to 4.0 and above on high end H2O.

corsair brand its very reliable brand , they make great Ram.

 

Aw man, the store from which I was trying to buy the corsair's have those out of stock.

Are these suitable replacements (they have exact same latency but I heard they have better heat spreaders)?

Those are good also , but it will be better if you can get some crucial ballistics 8500 they are D9s.

Are you saying the OCZ Reapers are worse than the Corsair Dominators? :-(

Yes im using high end D9s for benchmarking purposes only 2x 512MB, but I also have 2x 1 GB mushkin 8500 D9s also for use when gaming + 1GB G.Skill HZ laying around somewhere in the house.

Hi there Chispy / All:

I am a newbie here at the forums (although I have been reading for some months now) and I am also new to Overclocking.

I recently bought a Stacker 830 EVO w/6 fans, Gigabyte P35C-DS3R Mobo, Q6600 B3, Ultra-120 Extreme+fan, 2Gb Corsair Dominator 8500D RAM, eVGA 8800GTX, etc.

Could you / someone post a tutorial on how to overclock this combination of Mobo/CPU? I have tried a couple of things without luck, and I am afraid to damage the CPU or the memory.

I would love to get 3.2Ghz, although my my stock temps are low/mid 50s in a 70s/80s temp room.

 

OK Guys... Luckily, Chispy answered this post in a PM, and to my surprise he kindly offered to help me overclock my system.

After a serie of questions we went on to the BIOS and started our journey... here are the stable results for now. I may go higher later, but for now I am going to enjoy it as it is.
