Default How many vertex processors my new GF 6800 GT has? - 10-10-2004, 06:49 | posts: 32

Hi there!
I've just got BFG GeForce 6800 GT OC - nice thing. I thought that GeForce 6800 GT supposed to have 16 pipelines and 5 vertex processors, right? Only 6800 Ultra should have 6 vp, right? But RivaTuner RC15.2 says "16x1, 6vp" on Main page. The card bios info is:
Graphics core : NV40 revision A1 (16x1,6vp)
Hardwired ID : 0045 (ROM strapped to 0045)
Memory bus : 256-bit
Memory type : DDR (RAM configuration 07)
Memory amount : 262144KB
Core clock : 371.250MHz
Memory clock : 501.188MHz (1002.375MHz effecti...
Reference clock : 27.000MHz
HW masked units : none

So, the question is does the card really have 6 active vertex processors?

Thank you.
