hey. i'm going to purchase the amd athlon fx 53 in a few days. was wondering what cpu fan to get to pair with it. i know you kids have good advice so i am ready for some input.

If your not planning to overclock, the retail HSF should be fine.

True true, if your not going to overclock that thing just stick with the stock HSF, its actually huge. And if you are going to overclock...well if you have to money to buy a FX get a watercooling kit.

And you DID buy a Socket 939 FX-53 right??? *crosses fingers hoping you did*

yeah..buying the Socket 939 FX-53 anything less would be uncivilzed..
i don't plan to overclock because if i attemted to do so, i would prob set the computer up in flames..
