As we all know the reason to the kyro II's good performance is because of tile based rendering. In games there's many textures to hide for the Kyro II so there's the performance very high but what if there's no textures to hide (In a big open area) whould performance still be high.

nice thought, but not quite, hills, mountains and buildings etc = polygons. What you are talking about is a flat plain with a simple sky. I haven't seen it in a game don't think people would like it. Either way that means fewer polygons and only the textures of the sky and ground. Probably the equivalent of looking at the wall and checking your fps.
